If she’s not sewing, reading, spending time with family or inadvertently killing plants, Lori Wendt might be lecturing at one of the Business Ethics classes she teaches part time for Parkland. The Astoria, Illinois, native counts “being able to work with both students and faculty” among her greatest joys of the job. The best items to bribe her with would be any book by Dean Koontz, any movie by Judd Apatow, or Chicago Cubs tickets. Just make sure she doesn’t have them already.
Lori finds inspiration from her husband of many years, Tim, who also works at Parkland as director of the Office of Financial Aid. If she’s not in town, she’s probably “someplace beachy, like Florida or California” on vacation. “Someday, hopefully, Hawaii!”
