An adorable, energetic musical for children of all ages, Pinkalicious, The Musical
by Elizabeth Kann, Victoria Kann, and John Gregor opens at the Parkland Theatre on Wednesday, February 22.
Pinkalicious loves pink and wants everything in her life to be pink. Despite warnings from her parents, Pinkalicious can't stop eating pink cupcakes! Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with “pinkititis”, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe—a dream come true for this pink-loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament!
“Pinkalicious, The Musical” is directed by J.W. Morrissette, with music direction by David Zych and choreography by Jean Ray Korder, and is based on the book ‘’Pinkalicious” by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann. Its strong cast of campus and community members includes Ellen Fred (as Pinkalicious), Sidney Germaine, Chris Guyotte, Taylor Lykins, Jessica Debolt, Brad Mehrtens, Ariella Cohen, Thom Schnarre, Matthew Reeder, Jaclyn Lowenstein, Alex Adamek, Alina Lowenstein, Emma Lowenstein, Anastasia Conerty, and Wendy Walter.
The show is appropriate for all ages and runs February 22, 24, 25, and March 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 at 7:30 p.m. and March 3 and 10 at 3 p.m. The running time is approximately one hour. After the performance, the audience is welcome to meet the actors and indulge in pink cupcakes in the theatre lobby. There will be a post-performance talkback with the cast and director after the Friday, February 24 performance.
Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for students and seniors 55+, $8 for youth 12 and under, and $10 for groups of 15 or more. Opening Night, Wednesday, February 22 is “Pay what you can night!’ where YOU set the ticket price; on Thursday, March 8 all tickets are half-price!
