What you’ll do:
Prepare for a career as a personal trainer. Gain a foundational knowledge of strength and conditioning. Course work includes preparation for the NSCA-CPT certification exam and training by certified professionals. In your second semester, work with real clients to develop individualized fitness plans, instruct them on technique, and monitor their progress. Train to use fitness equipment including the Polar TriFit in our new state-of-art performance facility. Earn a certificate in just one year of full-time study. Become certified in automated external defibrillators (AED) and CPR.

Where you’ll go:
Opportunities exist for full- or part-time employment, with flexible hours through a fitness center or as an independent consultant. Most program courses and electives will transfer to a four-year college or university so that you may pursue an advanced degree in kinesiology.
